E-Waste Policy

1. Our Commitment

Every device we collect is first evaluated for reuse. Devices in working or repairable condition are refurbished and resold to extend their lifecycle, reducing overall electronic waste. Only devices that are beyond economical repair or reuse are directed to certified e-waste recycling.

2. Responsible Recycling

Devices that cannot be refurbished are sent exclusively to government-authorized e-waste recyclers/dismantlers for environmentally sound processing. This ensures that hazardous materials found in electronics — such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and lithium from batteries — are handled and disposed of safely, preventing soil and water contamination.

3. Data Security During Disposal

For any Device that proceeds to recycling, all storage media undergoes secure data wiping or physical destruction of storage components, in line with industry best practices, before the Device leaves our custody for recycling. This is in addition to asking sellers to factory reset and remove accounts from their Device prior to pickup.

4. Materials Recovery

Our recycling partners recover valuable materials such as metals, plastics, and glass from end-of-life devices for reuse in manufacturing, reducing the demand for virgin raw materials and lowering the environmental footprint of electronics production.

5. Why Sell Instead of Discard

Throwing away old electronics in regular household trash is harmful to the environment and, in many regions, against local regulations. By selling your old Device to Easy2Sell:

• You give the Device a second life through refurbishment, or
• You ensure it is recycled responsibly through authorized channels, rather than ending up in a landfill

6. Compliance

Easy2Sell works only with e-waste handling and recycling partners who hold valid authorization from the relevant State Pollution Control Board / Central Pollution Control Board, in compliance with applicable Indian e-waste regulations.

7. Consumer Awareness

We encourage all our customers and sellers to:

• Avoid disposing of electronic devices, batteries, or accessories in regular household waste
• Back up and erase personal data before handing over any Device
• Choose certified take-back or buyback services, like Easy2Sell, when upgrading to a new device
